It’s been a long time coming but the VR headset from Facebook bosses “Meta” has finally launched a highly anticipated major experience that is one of the most social experiences on the device.
The Meta Quest 3 is a consumer virtual reality device that allows you to play games, create workspaces, watch TV and movies and now experience virtual concert experiences, the latest being from superstar Sabrina Carpenter.
In the experience, you enter a world that feels a lot like a music festival. Sabrina Carpenter takes to the stage and brings all her chart-topping hits like ‘Espresso’ and favourites ‘Feather’ and ‘Nonsense’, among many others.
As you enter the world you’ll be greeted by (depending on the session) hundreds of other fans in their virtual avatar form, all unified for a new type of concert experience. It’s quite a different way of enjoying your favourite tunes but it’s already had amazing applications not only for providing good free entertainment for people who might not be able to make it to a show, but also for people with disabilities who are unable to attend such events. This is an inclusive and supportive experience and we welcome it.
This is on the back of the rest of the world being able to experience some amazing iHeartRadio LIVE concerts like Doja Cat, BlackPink, The Kid Laroi, Jung Kook, Imagine Dragons and more. These concerts are available on the device through the Meta Quest TV app.
Fire up your headset as Sabrina Carpenter: a VR concert is available now in Music Valley.
