The Eurobodalla’s premier destination for arts, aquatics and leisure activities has been recognised at the Australian Sport, Recreation and Play Innovation Awards.
The Bay Pavilions was awarded first place in the sport and leisure facility design category for 2022.
The project was entered by architects NBRS, who partnered with Donovan Payne Architects on the building design.
Eurobodalla Council’s Director of Planning and Sustainability Lindsay Usher said council wanted a landmark building and the award is welcome recognition of that vision.
NBRS principal Andrew Tripet believes other councils will now be looking to the project as an example of how to build contemporary and sustainable facilities for their communities.
