Three caught in a rip at Far South Coast beach

A teenage boy has been transported to hospital after being caught in a rip at Tuross Head.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics and the Toll Rescue Helicopter were called out to One Tree Beach just before 11 yesterday morning.

The chopper was called off after a total of three people were rescued from the surf.

The teenage boy was taken by ambulance to Moruya Hospital.

A second teenager and a man in his twenties who tried to rescue the boys before getting caught in the same rip were assessed by paramedics but did not require any further medical treatment.
