Batemans Bay Local Court has been told a man caught fishing illegally can only eat fish, bananas and soup because of a health condition.
55-year-old Kevin Colebrook pleaded guilty to several charges after being caught fishing with a net in a local marine sanctuary zone.
The Bay Post reports…Magistrate Doug Dick told the court the maximum fine applicable for each of the charges was $22,000.

He convicted Colebrook and fined him $800 on each of the five charges.
He was also ordered to pay $1000 of court costs and forfeit his boat and fishing net.
