A local Marine Rescue NSW zone commander is set to pass on what he’s learnt from an overseas study tour about the emergence of battery powered boats.
Mike Hammond has just returned from completing a Churchill Fellowship around the world to better prepare the Far South Coast Coast volunteer members under his command.
Commander Hammond spent six weeks look at the latest technology being used.

He said the newer technology being used can present potential new safety issues that rescuers need to be aware of.
