Bega Valley Shire Council advises emergency services and selected stakeholders will participate in a live emergency exercise at Merimbula Airport on Saturday 20 July.
Service personnel will enact a live field activation of the Merimbula Airport Emergency Plan (AEP).
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requires certified aerodromes to conduct a live test of an AEP every two-years.

The exercise will not relate to any real threat or emergency.
Flight services will not be impacted.
