There’s been a fire at Eden Marine High School in the Bega Valley this morning (Wednesday December 4).
The blaze in began in one of the classrooms at the school on Barclay Street around 5am and was extinguished by staff at the school before emergency services arrived.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Initial inquiries suggest the fire is suspicious,” a South Coast Police Spokesperson told ARN.
The school has closed for today.
Police are calling for anyone with information or CCTV to come forward and contact Bega Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
