Bega Valley Shire Council has issued an apology this morning to those set to be impacted by the closure of a road in Eden.
Towamba Road is set to be shut for an extended period from this Monday to repair damage from multiple flood events.
But locals only found out about it when signs were erected in the area rather than the usual notification processes through the media and online platforms.

CEO Anthony McMahon said he sincerely apologised to the community for the inconvenience and concern caused.
A public meeting will be held on the issue tomorrow afternoon from 4 at the Towamba Community Hall.
