“About 9:30am on Tuesday we executed a search warrant at an address in East Street, after receiving information from the community,” Chief Inspector Jessop said.

“As result of that search warrant, police seized a number of cannabis plants that were growing in that location,

“Police would just remind people that obviously cannabis is illegal and the cultivation of cannabis is illegal and we will act on information and still prosecute offenders in relation to cannabis.

“Inquiries into the cultivation of those plants are ongoing.”
