PRINCIPALS MESSAGE – TRACEY GRAY

The school was originally established in 1994 as Bega Valley Christian College and from 2007 became Sapphire Coast Anglican College under the umbrella of the Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn. The College continues to grow from strength to strength.

We have the dual advantage of being small enough to know every student on campus whilst being part of an organisation with a long-term vision that is big enough to provide the resources needed in a growing school.

Sapphire Coast Anglican College offers a seamless education system from pre-kindergarten to year 12, all on one campus. Our reputation has led to an increasing demand for places due to our student focus, Christian approach and community minded focus.

We have a happy community where we strive to show 100% Kindness in words, thoughts and actions through demonstration of our values: compassion, honesty, respect, integrity, services and thankfulness. We are always happy to take students at all year levels where places are available.

It is such a privilege to be the Principal of Sapphire Coast Anglican College. With a rich past and an exciting future we pride ourselves on quality education and care. We encourage you to visit our school and experience a country education through a Christian approach.

I love working with young people and educators and believe that education should be a joyful proposition providing quality teaching and learning, within a safe and nurturing environment. We should be fostering an environment where students want to be at school and have hope for their futures.

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the community and welcome you to visit the Sapphire Coast Anglican College. Whether you are already part of our community or new to Sapphire Coast Anglican College, I would love to meet you and show you around our wonderful college.

Students are given opportunities to develop their skills across a range of areas – academic, spiritual, cultural, sporting and service. What makes our college truly special is our dedicated staff who go above and beyond.

FOUR PILLARS

BELONGING – every child, staff member and carer wants to feel they belong to something.

MASTERY – every child, staff member and carer wants to feel they are competent and can contribute positively to society.

INDEPENDENCE – every child, staff member and carer wants to be able to make decisions for themselves and their futures.

GENEROSITY – every child, staff member and carer needs to know that we can make a difference in the lives of others. Service and developing generosity provides so many benefits for everyone in the community and broader afield.

These Pillars compliment our college values of knowledge, wisdom, faith and service.

Sapphire Coast Anglican College inspires our young people to be the best versions of themselves through daily demonstrations of – Compassion – Honesty – Respect – Service and Thankfulness.
