More than 30 businesses, organisations and employees from the Bega Valley and Eurobodalla have been announced as finalists in the 2024 Far South Coast Business Awards this week.
The awards which also covers areas including Cooma, Goulburn, Jindabyne and Young celebrate business excellence in South East NSW.
11 finalists from our region have been announced in the Excellence in Micro, Small & Large Business category including Nine Circles Distillery, Toast Pambula, Eastwood’s Bermagui and Rubenesque Lingerie in Batemans Bay.
Kayne Woods from the Seahorse Inn Hotel at Boydtown and Nicole McDonald from Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels are up for the Outstanding Employee award.
Danielle Geekie from Sapphire Conveyancing, Henry Hicks from Achieve Plumbing and Gas, Hair on Imlay’s Kaitlin Steiner, Tura Beach Country Club’s Scott MacLean and Sarah Gorst from South Coast Seaweed are all up for the Outstanding Young Business Leader Award.
While Tuross Little Lambs Preschool, Tathra Beach Eco Camp and Beach Road Surgery & Skin Clinic are all finalists in the field of Excellence in Sustainability.
Sanitair Batemans Bay will be flying the flag for the South Coast as the only finalist from our region in the Outstanding new business category.
And JJJ Oriental Store in Batemans Bay will go up against organisations from Woden and Goulburn for the Prize in Excellence & Diversity.
Our region is sure to win Outstanding Visitor Experience with Crank It Up Batemans Bay, Narooma Oyster Festival,and the South Coast Ale Trail the three finalists.
We’re also well represented in the Outstanding Community Organisation category with four of the five finalists including Banksia Villages, IRT Merimbula, Sapphire Community Projects and Tulgeen Disability Services.
While Beach Road Surgery & Skin Clinic is up for Employer of Choice.
Winners will be announced at a Gala Ceremony on September 6 with the State Business Awards to be held in Sydney on October 30.
