Motorists warned to go slow due to snow

Snow is falling above 900 metres across the Snowy Mountains and some other parts of the state today with Nimmitabel and Bombala copping a dusting.

The Transport Management Centre are warning motorists to take it easy on the roads between Canberra and the South Coast particularly Cooma to Brown Mountain which is experiencing alpine conditions today (August 23).

Motorists are advised to check signage and exercise caution on the Monaro Highway/Snowy Mountains Highway with snow clearing trucks getting busy.
